Adventist Medical Center–Bacolod (AMCB) commemorated its 59th anniversary on December 7, 2025, gathering hospital staff, administrators, retirees, and guests at the Nutribites Cafeteria for a heartfelt celebration of nearly six decades of compassionate healthcare.

With this year’s theme, “59 Years Serving with Love, Healing, and Excellence,” the program highlighted the institution’s enduring mission to provide Christ-centered medical service to the community. Pastor Mamerto Guingguing II, newly elected president of the West Central Philippine Union Mission, challenged the congregation by stating that “through the church will eventually be made manifest…the final and full display of the love of God,” quoting from The Acts of the Apostles. He emphasized that BAMC is also a church in mission and purpose.

Dr. Sherwin Lowe B. Rodrigo, President/CEO/Hospital Administrator, shared how BAMC survived “the perfect storm” of the past three years through God’s guidance and the profound lesson of “leading from the knees.”

The celebration featured messages of congratulations and felicitations, notably from Bacolod Vice Mayor Claudio Jesus Raymundo “Kalaw” A. Puentevella, Brgy. Taculing Captain Lady Gles Pallen, Southern Asia Pacific Division Adventist Director for Health Care Ma’am Jo Ann Amparo, WCPUM Executive Secretary Pastor Calev Maquirang, WCPUM Treasurer Bro. Ronnie Maravilla, NOC President Pastor Jophone Galanza, and CPAC President Dr. Neda June Salazar.

The event concluded with a fellowship meal, symbolizing unity and shared purpose among the hospital’s growing family.

Happy 59th anniversary BAMC!
